Cordless Phone Reviews and Ratings

Best 3 Line Cordless Phone

Having scoured the planet for years we can now confirm that the 3 line cordless phone is extinct, however all is not lost. If you are dead set on finding a 3 line phone there is a hybrid IP-landline phone manufactured by Siemens that is actually better than a traditional cordless phone. Alternatively you may reconsider and go for 4 lines or make do with a 2 line cordless phone.

1. Siemens Hybrid 3 Line Cordless Phones

Siemens has been manufacturing high quality cordless VoIP phones for years. Superficially they look and behave like regular DECT 6.0 phones, but don't be deceived. They are actually dual mode landline / VoIP cordless phones and very smart.

Siemens cordless VoIP phones can be expanded up to 6 handsets with three concurrent phone calls (2 VoIP and 1 via land line). Thanks to HD sound call clarity is excellent and the handsets are equipped with full duplex microphone-speakers.

We use an earlier model at home and highly recommend them. Not only do we save money by using a cheap home phone service, but also access features that regular landline phones don't support. For example we have setup a number of online numbers that enable friends and clients to call us from overseas for the cost of a local phone call.

2. Cordless 4 Line Phones

When 2 lines aren't enough it's a 4 line cordless phone that most small business owners go for. Having a 4th line in reserve is not a bad thing. It's cheap insurance against incurring the cost of replacing an entire phone system if your business experiences an unanticipated growth spurt.

Only a few companies do multi-line cordless phones well. They can all make the hardware, but only one or two are prepared to invest in the call management software.

The AT&T SB67118 is at the cutting edge of cordless phone technology. It's a DECT 6.0 phone system with many innovative features: Push-toTalk intercom, call screening/intercept, memo recording and auto attendant. In any situation where cordless phone range is a potential issue it's the one to get.

3. Cordless 2 Line Phones

If 2 lines are enough there are dozens to choose between. The best 2 line phones are made by just two companies that specialize in the niche. Panasonic has the largest range of options including it's latest the KX-TG9472B, which links with Microsoft Outlook and enables users to dial out by clicking a mouse and more.

RIP

The only traditional 3 line cordless phone that we could find was the Panasonic KX-TH102M. It was a 2.4 GHz cordless telephone released circa 2000. Despite having some excellent features it was too expensive and few were sold. Potential buyers opted for more basic, but less costly 4 line cordless phones. To the best of our knowledge the last surviving KX-TH102M was recycled and subsequently reincarnated as a iPhone.
