I'm in total agreement. It amazes me that you can get a multi-handset cordless phone today for less than the cost of getting a contractor out to run wiring for a new corded extension.
We got a 4 handset version of the same Panasonic phone. The range is good enough for me have one of the phones in the shed at the bottom of our garden.
