DECT Bluetooth Two Line Cordless Phone

Panasonic has upped the ante with a new DECT Bluetooth two line cordless phone: the KX-TG9381T. It enables users to transfer contact details from their cell phones via Bluetooth. Given that it's been almost impossible to buy a cell phone that isn't Bluetooth enabled for years, we're surprised it took so long for this feature to be made available on a Bluetooth cordless phone.

It's also interesting that the ability to transfer a phonebook via Bluetooth was first released on a 2 line cordless phone and not on a single line Panasonic digital phone. However, it didn't take long for the void to be filled. Within days of Panasonic's announcement the VTech DS6321-3 Bluetooth cordless phone was unveiled.

For many of us one of the most compelling features of this phone is that the base unit can be paired with any Bluetooth-enabled headset. The advantages of a wireless telephone headset are obvious to anyone who is familiar with wired alternatives.

The Panasonic KX-TG9381T is the first DECT 6.0 cordless phone to enable the simple transfer of a phonebook from a cell phone via Bluetooth. It's a capability that all DECT 6.0 phones will sooner or later need to provide.
