Hello, I have only used this system for 2 days and it seems really good yet I can not figure out how to set the answering machine to announce one of my personally recorded messages. All is fine if I use their prerecorded message "Please Leave a Message" If you can help me that would be great - Thanks

AT&T 4 line phone system - impressed by: Mary McKenzie
We have had this phone system for just over 3 months and it's great. It's got more bells and whistles than we will ever need. Best features include handsets with speakerphone capability (not just on the base). It can record phone calls. Others can join in on a phone call in progress. Push to Talk and Intercom are features that we now can't live without.
The range of the phone is outstanding. Even without a DECT extender we're getting clear reception outside our building. I can actually go outside and cross the street without any deterioration in sound quality. In our case we don't need the extenders.
It took less than 10 minutes to setup the system with 4 handsets including personalization of handsets, ring tones and other options.
The AT&T system has music on hold. We have tailored our own 3-minute promo-sound-bytes which we change weekly. The system will connect to anything with a 3.5mm audio jack: computer, CD player, radio etc.
The speaker function on the handsets is excellent. If I'm on hold on a call I'll press "speaker" and go hands free to better multi-task.
We don't use either the voicemail or auto attendant options. They are features that we may look into in the future.
In summary we are impressed and can't report any significant issues with the system.
